Discover the interview of Polina Zagumenova :
How did you become a designer?
Since childhood I have liked drawing. I studied in сhildren’s art school. Architectural and surrealistic subjects dominated in my works. For example, at the age of 5, I came up with a project for the hotel “Goldfish”, standing on an artificial embankment in the ocean, and continued to sketch and draw its layout for several years.
At the age of 19 I went to work in the studio of Artemy Lebedev as a hostess in the kitchen. And then I discovered the world of design. From that time on, I gradually began to draw posters for various events at the university where I was studying at that time. I realized that I liked it and went to study in the British Higher School of Art & Design for communication design. Since then, I can probably officially call myself a designer)
How would you define your vision of design, your style?
I think my vision of design is some kind of nostalgia for the images from my childhood. I also very positive and optimistic person, so I love bright colors)
For the future, what are your professional projects?
I want to bring my children’s archives of that very hotel to the sea and turn the sketches into a corporate identity for making my childhood dreams come true. I already draw a logo)
What do you like the most in your job?
