Garage Comunicazione

Discover the interview of ALESSANDRO SOTTILE & MARIACRISTINA ROPERTI from Garage Comunicazione. in Rogliano, Italy

How did you become designer ?

Alessandro: The passion for design has already developed at an early age with a love for comics. After my university studies in Artistic Disciplines, an experience at the Italian Cultural Institute in Paris and @leeting collaborations with other graphic studios I decided to found my agency in 2007.

Mariacristina: After studying Political Science focusing particularly on politicalelectoral marketing and collaborating with other agencies, I joined him in Garage Comunicazione.

How would you define your vision of design, your style ?

For us, design is not simply a matter of taste, it is a union of form and content based on culture, history and context. Our agency does not pursue aesthetic trends, but instead puts innovation and precision at the center of its works. We continue to evolve in our graphic language, but this refers more to being curious and aware of culture and time.

For the future, what are your professional projects ?

When the studio was founded, we built our reputation on social and political communication, but when cultural budgets dwindled, the agency began exploring new sectors. Packaging design quickly became a signi@icant part of the agency activities. For our future we have several digital and editorial projects in the pipeline, because we believe that technique, culture and books are the fundamental ingredients to indicate a way forward for the future of our sector.

What do you like the most in your job ?

What we love about our job is to help people, companies and associations that have a vision, an idea of growth and passion for the things they do. Supporting them in their communication projects is rewarding.
