How did you become designer?
Craft has always been part of my DNA. I grew up alongside my grandfather, an exceptional woodworker and carver, who passed his skills down to my father, a furniture maker. In a way, I carried that legacy forward, translating traditional craftsmanship into the digital world through my passion for computers. Creating something from nothing has been with me since childhood.
How would you define your vision of design, your style?
I approach the form as a story where I try to explore as much as I can and go for the unnexptected, always taking into consideration the functionality defined by scope of work. I do not consider I have a style, I focus on learning and understandig so I can jump from corporate brand identities into punk-ish nietsche coffee shops or fashion brands. Of course I do have help form other creates and sometimes I let other collegues use their vision and I help them to achieve the best results.
For the future, what are your professional projects?
I have a list of people I really want to collaborate with, strong talents. But to make that happen, I need to secure bigger clients and think more in terms of long-term structure.
One of my main goals is to rebrand a large consumer brand. Not just for visibility, but as proof of what can happen when you take thinking and drawing seriously.
What do you like the most in your job?.
My ability to observe and create systems, while keeping ethics alive, is nourishing in this job. Having a purpose, helping brands and people prosper, this matters to me. Entrepreneurs pay me to think and draw while their brands become sharper and more coherent. Isn’t that great?
