Discover the interview of Marios Karystios:
How did you become designer?
From an early age—around 11—I got my first PC, a 286. Initially, I was fascinated by computer languages and dreamed of becoming a programmer or game developer.
Later, I discovered graphic design software, and that opened a whole new world for me—the beauty of creativity. That passion led me to study Graphic Design in Athens, at a time when the profession was still relatively unknown in Greece. I then pursued a Master’s degree at Central Saint Martins in London, where I found inspiration that continues to shape my work to this day.
How would you define your vision of design, your style?
As a studio, we strive for aesthetics, quality, and authenticity in every project. By collaborating with a diverse network of talented individuals from around the world, we approach each brief with a fresh perspective—always aiming to avoid fixed styles or repetitive formulas.
For the future, what are your professional projects?
Beyond graphic design, branding, and packaging, I’m exploring projects in furniture design, architecture, art, and any other field where good ideas can find a home. I believe creativity shouldn’t be confined to a single discipline.
What do you like the most in your job?
This profession can be challenging and even frustrating at times, but it’s deeply rewarding. Being able to express creativity through work is something I believe every person needs—and I feel lucky to do that every day.
