Giada Tamborrino

Discover the interview of Giada Tamborrino in Amsterdam, The Netherlands

How did you become designer ?

Since my childhood, I have been surrounded by creative minds that taught me how to get the most out of our ideas with the available tools and resources. Over time, design became my language and the way to express my personality, and my passion became a full-fledged career as a freelance creative.

My journey began in Italy back in 2011 as a Graphic Designer. A few years later, I moved to London in search of new opportunities and a boost of inspiration. I now live in Amsterdam, where I founded Giada Tamborrino Studio, an independent design firm that focuses on crafting people’s ideas into meaningful and minimal brand identities, promotional materials and sustainable packaging designs.

How would you define your vision of design, your style ?

Design should always respect & integrate with our environment and surroundings. A successful design project should be clever, effective, add value, and improve our lives. Branding is the key to making a brand stand out and share its story, values, and commitments.
My style is thoughtful and is influenced by nature and minimalism.

For the future, what are your professional projects ?

I am focusing more and more on sustainability and how the design industry can have an impact on our everyday life choices. My goal is to guide my clients in making the best decisions for their brands and therefore for us and our planet.
For the future, I’d also like to share what I learnt so far during my journey so that other creatives can take advantage of my experience, my mistakes, and successes.

What do you like the most in your job ?

I love the fact that I get to collaborate with amazing people from all over the world, with different cultures and different backgrounds. Every collaboration teaches me new things, as I get to dig deep into every brand’s purpose. I also like that I can see things that are not still released into the world. So exciting!
