Darling Clementine

Discover the interview of Ingrid and Tonje :

How did you become a designer?
We knew from an early age that we wanted to do something creative for a living and decided to do our visual communication degrees in the UK. We both moved to England when we were young, but met for the first time upon our return to Oslo, Norway.
We then found that we had similar aspirations and wanted to do the same thing. We got to know each other and became friends, and then decided to follow our dream together and founded Darling Clementine in 2006.

How would you define your design vision, your style?
Our design style can be described as decorative, Scandinavian, feminin and ornamental.

For the future, what are your professional projects?
We really enjoy doing packaging work and we love when we get in projects where we can do both art direction & illustration for product ranges. We also love limited edition collections and generally high end packaging where the visual impact is important to the client and they are willing to prioritize this in their product development.

What do you like the most in your job ?
Our favourite part of the job is that it’s never boring. From having few projects on, the most exciting project can appear in our inbox from clients from all over the world. The potential that this can happen, and that it does from time to time, makes it all worth while.
