Discover the interview of ADVART AGENCY:
How did you become designer?
ADVART didn’t start as a typical design studio. It began with an e-shop that curated objects from Greek artists and independent designers. Through that process, we understood something fundamental: design is not decoration, it is identity. From there, we created a city guide focused on the independent Athenian scene, documenting small businesses, underground culture, and people with a distinct voice. Gradually, what started as observation and curation evolved into creation. Today, ADVART is a small 360° creative agency based in Athens. We work closely with local businesses that have personality and substance, helping them shape their image, their narrative, and their presence. For us, design became a natural extension of storytelling, a way to give form to character.
How would you define your vision of design, your style?
Our vision is human-centered and city-rooted. We are inspired by people, by the raw layers of Athens, by simplicity and truth. We believe design should be honest, functional, and emotionally clear. No unnecessary noise, no forced trends. We value balance between aesthetics and utility. A brand should look strong, but it should also work. It should communicate clearly and feel authentic. Our style could be described as minimal but warm, structured but alive. We care deeply about typography, narrative, and visual clarity, but always in service of something real.
For the future, what are your professional projects?
We want to continue building bridges. Between the independent scene and the wider public.
Between culture and business. Between the underground current of the city and the everyday consumer. Through our projects, we aim to strengthen local communities and give visibility to voices that deserve to be heard. We believe design can function as a connector as a commercial tool, but also a cultural one. Our future plans include expanding our creative services, developing editorial and community-driven projects, and continuing to support small businesses with strong identities.
What do you like the most in your job?.
That we choose our collaborations, and they choose us. We work with people we genuinely believe in. We speak about the city because we are part of it. What we love most is the creative dialogue, the moment when an idea becomes a clear identity. When a small business gains confidence through its image. When storytelling aligns with design.
