Xolve branding

Established at the maritime gateway of Vietnam’s southern economic zone, Baria Vungtau University (BVU) has long provided multidisciplinary training rooted in the philosophy “Experience for Success.”

However, as the marine economy shifts toward high-tech logistics, the university identified a strategic gap. To support its transition from a regional school into a national institution for liberal education, the university recognized the need to replace its intricate, traditional aesthetic with a visual infrastructure that matches its current goals.

xolve partnered with BVU to lead this repositioning. We began by addressing the balance between academic tradition and modern exploration. While BVU is an educator, its core role is preparing human capital to navigate a modern economy.

Working closely with leadership, we updated the brand’s visual identity, shifting from a traditional crest to an active symbol. The new mark integrates a soaring Gannet for discovery and a Shield for knowledge. Geometric lines echoing a ship’s bow reflect the university’s focus on maritime and logistics education.

For absolute visual consistency, we implemented a tailored typographic system, allowing the brand to maintain a contemporary, authoritative voice across all touchpoints. This identity framework supports BVU as it prepares to anchor the future of liberal education in Vietnam.
