This packaging was designed for Lac Tam Yeến, a premium bird’s nest brand in Vietnam inspired by the pristine ecosystem of Bien Lac Lake in Binh Thuan Province. The product represents the essence of nature, as bird’s nests are a gift of nourishment derived from the land, sky, and waters of this region.
2/ Concept
The concept stems from the harmonious beauty of Bien Lac Lake blending natural elements, human life, and the story of the swiftlet bird. This design narrates the connection between the swiftlet’s life cycle, the sustainable ecosystem of Bien Lac Lake, and the brand’s commitment to preserving nature. The artwork illustrates this balance, embodying the brand’s philosophy of sustainability and authenticity.
3/ Branding
The logo tells the story of a swiftlet delicately capturing a ripple from the lake, symbolizing the connection between the life of the swiftlet and the ecosystem of Ho Bien Lac.
Like bees collecting nectar, swiftlets gather food and nutrients from the earth and sky of Binh Thuan. During their breeding season, they secrete saliva to create nutrient-rich nests. These nests embody the essence of what the swiftlets have accumulated from the natural wonders of Binh Thuan. Bien Lac Lake stands as a representative of this thriving ecosystem.
The emerald green of Bien Lac Lake serves as the primary color inspiration for Lac Tam Yen, harmoniously paired with light gold to create a sophisticated and balanced visual identity.
The Viaoda Libre Regular font, with its elegant and refined decorative strokes, was chosen for headlines in Lac Tam Yen’s communication materials. It is seamlessly combined with the modern and sleek Be Vietnam Pro font, which is used for supplementary content such as body text, subtext, or subtitles.
4/ Packaging
The packaging encapsulates the brand’s story through a visual narrative. The outer box depicts the flowing waves of Bien Lac Lake, majestic mountain peaks, and a swiftlet gracefully gathering food. The combination of embossed and gold-foiled details highlights the premium quality of the product, while the use of environmentally friendly materials aligns with the brand’s sustainability goals.
The technique used to design the packaging
– Embossing and gold foiling: The mountain ranges and logo are embossed and gold-foiled to add texture and a luxurious feel.
– High-precision illustration: The mountain and lake scenes are meticulously illustrated with fine details, creating a seamless harmony between nature and design.
– Eco-friendly materials: Sustainable and high-quality paper is chosen to reflect the brand’s values and reduce environmental impact.
