Pata Negra is known to be THE exceptional ham and Gruik wishes to perpetuate this know-how and authenticity through its products. This is why its Pata Negra is made with Iberian pigs raised in Guijuelo, a region steeped in history and traditions around ham. This makes for an exceptional product, as does the Gruik logo, which combines contemporaneity and tradition. Why Gruik? For French speakers, the word “Gruik” is one of the onomatopoeias evoking the cry of the pig. The corkscrew tail of the pig is subtly integrated into the letter “G”. The color combination emphasizes a refined appearance.

Elegance and authenticity are the key words for Gruik packaging. The oval shapes and cut-outs suggest a snout, while the marooned black evokes the color of the local Iberian pig. The pig’s tail loop (the “G”) allows the packaging to be opened and creates originality and refinement in this packaging. Its design is deliberately minimalist and sober in order to enhance the product, the Pata Negra.
