“Pompìa is an ancient and mysterious citrus fruit which has been witnessed for at least three centuries and which represents one of the most peculiar plant species typical of the Siniscola area. The citrus fruit in question has an appearance similar to the citron, but many characteristics, both of the tree and of the fruit, do not belong to the species.
The tree would look like an orange tree but the branches are thorny (medium pointed spines) like those of the lemon. The leaves are large, oval in shape with a convex apex.
