Discover the interview of Yael Méndez:
How did you become designer?
I’ve always been fascinated by the idea of visual communication. Over time, I realized that design is not just about aesthetics, it’s a powerful tool to create brands with purpose. For over a decade, I’ve worked with clients from different parts of the world, developing solid concepts that go beyond visuals and create real impact.
How would you define your vision of design, your style?
More than just creating logos, I build brands with identity and meaning. My approach is strategic: every design must tell a story, connect with its audience, and serve a purpose. I pay close attention to every detail, ensuring that each element has a reason to exist. My style is versatile, but I always aim for authenticity, memorability, and flawless execution.
For the future, what are your professional projects?
I’m in a phase of evolution. I want to take on projects that challenge me, push me out of my comfort zone, and expand my portfolio with more diversity and depth. I’m also considering moving to a new city to open myself up to new opportunities and experiences that will fuel my creativity.
What do you like the most in your job?
I love the process, from research and conceptualization to final execution. I enjoy finding that creative spark that turns an idea into something tangible with its own identity. Seeing how my designs help brands grow and establish themselves is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.
