Tiffanie Mazellier

Discover the interview of Tiffanie Mazellier in New Caledonia.

How did you become designer ?

The truth is that I discovered design late. I’m from New Caledonia and when I finished high school, graphic design was totally unknown to me. It’s only when I moved to France to study that I started an applied art school in graphic design.
I discovered the design process and how design can impact the world. I realized that design is all about creating solutions using creativity and that is what got me hooked.

How would you define your vision of design, your style ?

I’d love to think that design is strategic and rational with a good deal of creativity. Designers has to make sensible and effective choices. Design has to serve a goal and solve a problem and you must ask yourself a lot of question – e.g. what is the target audience ? what do they want and how do they work ? what are the challenges ? – in order to produce a good design. Design is not how it looks but how it works.
I don’t know if I really can define my style : I like to work on different projects, try different styles and new stuff, take risks to create what I hope to be something slightly new.

For the future, what are your professional projects

I’m always ready to jump on opportunities to work on something new and innovating. I like to challenge myself by working on complex projects – at the moment, a data analysis & AI company. I am firm believer that we never stop to learn.

What do you like the most in your job ?

What I prefer is the possibility to constantly explore new topics, like if a new world just opened and you have to explore it. Each project is a new field to learn with new goals and other issues to solve.
