SEASONOFVICTORY (aka Linda Baritski)

Discover the interview of SEASONOFVICTORY (aka Linda Baritski) :

How did you become designer?

I’ve always loved drawing as a kid and went to Art and Design school on a grant. I worked both as a freelancer and in jobs from junior designer at magazines, many senior design jobs, to an art director at a media company. I eventually realised what I really loved doing was freelance illustration (with the occasional design/branding/packaging and animation thrown in). I did it in the evenings, building a freelance portfolio, until eventually I let the day jobs behind.

I would encourage anyone who has the gut feeling to do the same to just go for it – the tough bit in the beginning pays off later in a multitude of ways.

How would you define your vision of design, your style?

My illustration and design style combines dynamic colour, psychedelic patterns and bold illustrations – it’s optimistic and playful. It attracts a variety of clients for me, who understand and appreciate my vibrant style. I’ve worked with small businesses and boutique brands, but also large global brands.

For the future, what are your professional projects?

I have a lot of fun projects that will be out in 2022 – but I can’t share them just yet! You can follow my Instagram @seasonofvictory, for updates.

What do you like the most in your job?

What I love most about being a freelance illustrator: being able to include personal projects into my schedule, making time for painting, learning, freedom, better income, variety, control and definitely more fun.

Every month is different and I work with really creative people. I love the variety of projects, and it’s interesting to collaborate with a huge variety of creatives and brands.
