How did you become designer ?
To be a designer was one of my dream career from childhood. But, how did I become a designer was actually a happy accident. My dream was to be a fashion designer, but my school doesn’t have a fashion major~ the only design major they had was Graphic Design…and that’s how I end up here. But everything turned out pretty interesting to me… and I kind of like what I do now.
How would you define your vision of design, your style ?
My goal of my design work is always expressing a story or thought. I want to use my design as a media to reveal or present things that are important and meaningful but forgotten by people. Or to solve problems, in an interesting way that can make people laugh, and think. I think these are the purpose of design. Reminding people what’s important and make people think, also to make things prettier, obviously~~ I’m still finding myself stylewise. I’m still trying a lot of techniques that are interesting to me, and hoping to find the best one I like as “my style”.
For the future, what are your professional projects ?
My projects now are more about cooperation with different museums. I’m hoping to make more meaningful, culturally valuable products that can be presented to people in the market.
What do you like the most in your job ?
It challenges me not only as a designer, but also as a person. Every designer knows that stage of designing when you are stuck and not satisfied with what you have now but just don’t want to stop here. I enjoy the result very much every time when I overcome these difficult hard stages, and I then feel really good and happy. Clients are happy too.
