Discover the interview of Raphael Iglesias in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
How did you become designer ?
I became a designer by accident, I graduated in civil engineering, but I did not like it, I loved mathematics and I ended up studying engineering, but in college I was part of the athletics team and had events and needed to do events to monetize the athletics, so we had to create identity, then material for the event and there was no one to do, to cut the courses I decided to do, I worked the tools and created horrible things, but I liked that, my father is a painter and a photographer and I already I liked this artistic side, then after I graduated I decided to study and study design, and I can say that it was the best thing I did in my life, I love what I do and it was my best choice.
How would you define your vision of design, your style ?
I like a different design, a living design, something that someone can see and admire, stop and reflect, a design with functionality and intelligence.
For the future, what are your professional projects
I am studying the possibility of opening a studio focused on developing brands and packaging, but with a different design strategy and thinking, I realize that many companies do not know how to value a brand work effectively and implementation after the work done. Today I am an independent designer, work developing brands and packaging for medium and large companies.
What do you like the most in your job ?
I like the pleasure of incredible things through simple shapes, I like the color combinations, the experience of your product to come to life and to be on the street and to bring happiness to people, the entire design process is incredible.
