Discover the interview with Rade Stjepanovic :
How did you become designer ?
I have had a passion for art since I was a young boy. Throughout my childhood my interests revolved around drawing, painting, and participating in group art projects. It was my dream to one day become an artist. As I grew older, I began taking art more seriously and wanted to further my studies. Graphic design was a natural fit for me. Graphic design gives me the opportunity to translate someone’s words and ideas into visual stories.
How would you define your vision of design, your style ?
My design style is very unique. I have spent half of my life in Europe and the other half in America, so my style is inspired by a mix of those two cultures. The main element of my style is a good concept. Once I have a concept in mind, the creative ideas become endless. I grab a piece of paper and a pencil and begin drawing numerous thumbnail drafts. I select a few of the best ones and then transition those drawings to my computer to finalize the idea.
For the future, what are your professional projects ?
Currently, I have been busy designing corporate identity pieces and the demand for these projects has been positive, so I believe this trend will continue. My other professional projects include illustrations and some web design.
What do you like the most in your job ?
I like the feeling of satisfaction after I create something that I like, and the client likes as well. I enjoy knowing my designs and creations have helped bring a solution to meet their needs. Doing something that I love, while making the world a more beautiful place—those are the true highlights of what I like most about my job.
