QIQA - Francesca Barbieri

Discover the interview of QIQA – Francesca Barbieri:

How did you become designer?

It seems like a strange answer but at the age of 8 I started to combine colors and make uncommon combinations among children. My teacher often scolded me because I matched colors badly and then I gave my explanations and she said I was good. The real problem is that the next lesson always repeats the same story so I made the drawings for myself and apart from those to show to the naughty teacher

How would you define your vision of design, your style?

Essential. I love essential graphics: a few well-calibrated elements that make the client’s brand unique. I am a pragmatic person of few words: I listen, I elaborate and then I let my projects speak.

For the future, what are your professional projects?

This answer also seems strange, I am fine as I am today. I don’t make large numbers of turnover and that’s not my main goal. I would like to be able to express myself freely and I would like my works to be cleaner and more easily recognizable by my audience.

What do you like the most in your job?

My life and my working day compared to other professions is quiet. I manage my working hours as I think best, I work from home in my corner dedicated to the office and if I have family or personal needs I can manage them peacefully.
