Nueve Estudio

Discover the interview of Cristina Toledo from Nueve Estudio, located in València, Spain

How did you become designer ?

We founded Nueve 5 years ago after having worked in other companies. We started to collaborate making the brand and packaging for a ‘zero kilometre’ burger chain. After that experience we decided to found the studio.

How would you define your vision of design, your style ?

Our work methodology always starts from listening to the client and thus understanding and detecting their needs and those of the project. For all the projects we carry out an in-depth analysis where we look for references of similar projects to see what has been done before, and also to avoid similar results. Often, differentiation is the key.
For us, the most important thing is generating a concept from which to base and develop the project. That serves us as a support and guide for its development, and to assure that the result is coherent.

For the future, what are your professional projects ?

We are now working on different projects: institutional branding, signage for 33 municipal libraries of Valencia… We are also involved in a European project of energy efficiency.

What do you like the most in your job ?

The good thing of the job of a designer is the wide range of tasks that requires, from research, dealing with suppliers and monitoring the production of projects, dealing with customers, the conception and design phase… We couldn’t choose just one!
