Discover the interview of Martin Zarian from Factory 39 in Cyprus.
How did you become designer ?
I’ve always been creative, and I always enjoyed the making of things and solving any type of problem in unusual ways. At school I was not what you’d refer to as a good student, being more the pragmatic type and excelling in anything visual. I decided to combine both natural skills of mine and become a creative problem solver, a bit designer a bit goal driven solution maker.
How would you define your vision of design, your style ?
In the words of Dieter Rams “Good design is as little design as possible”: this is my mantra. I believe that styles and trends come and go but aesthetic and smart design stays. So I guess my signature is simple, smart and minimal.
For the future, what are your professional projects I have just founded my design and software company called FACTORY 39, where we help people bring ideas into reality; this is what I dream of doing, helping others reach their full potential while doing what I love to do: designing and building ideas. What do you like the most in your job ?The ability of being contaminated with new things every day, to keep learning and the fact that every project that you finish makes you a better designer and the knowledge that you get makes you a better person.
