Discover the interview of Martin Zarian from Factory 39 in Cyprus.
How did you become designer ?
I’ve always been creative, and I always enjoyed the making of things and solving any type of problem in unusual ways. At school I was not what you’d refer to as a good student, being more the pragmatic type and excelling in anything visual. I decided to combine both natural skills of mine and become a creative problem solver, a bit designer a bit goal driven solution maker.
How would you define your vision of design, your style ?
In the words of Dieter Rams “Good design is as little design as possible”: this is my mantra. I believe that styles and trends come and go but aesthetic and smart design stays. So I guess my signature is simple, smart and minimal.
For the future, what are your professional projects
I have just founded my design and software company called FACTORY 39, where we help people bring ideas into reality; this is what I dream of doing, helping others reach their full potential while doing what I love to do: designing and building ideas.
What do you like the most in your job ?
The ability of being contaminated with new things every day, to keep learning and the fact that every project that you finish makes you a better designer and the knowledge that you get makes you a better person.
