María Jünger, Neuma

Discover the interview of María Jünger, Neuma’s Art Director and Founder :

How did you become a designer?
When we’re young we don’t know where we’re going with our lives. When I was a little girl I wanted to be vet, then in my teenage years I wanted to be architect because the only thing I knew is I wanted to create things from scratch, years later didn’t knew what graphics were until I saw a really cool website so I knew deeply in my heart I had to create that kind of things, so here I am…

How would you define your design vision, your style?
I will always guide the design so that my clients’ clients fall in love with, and not to be obvious to leave my personal style in my works.

I will try to make them timeless, not being guided by the emerging design trends (they will always pass by), and be faithful to the essence of each project, but at the same time I love to give a twist to the traditional way of doing things… it’s like if you say “A” I will say “B” haha.

For the future, what are your professional projects?
I always loved pets, ever since was a little girl my desire was to help and protect animals by being veterinarian. So the past October I launched “Ramona For You” a lifestyle brand for pets and their owners with the purpose of making a difference and providing a grain of sand through design pieces to help stray pets and as well as lessen our environmental impact by creating an ethical brand without forgetting about style, security and practicality.

You can see more of this beautiful project at www.ramonaforyou.com / instagram @ramonaforyou

So I see myself managing and making this brand grow in parallel with Neuma.

What do you like the most in your job ?
I love the process of creating and finding the solution to the problem. I think it is like a puzzle, you go piece through piece and by the end, all the effort is worth the prize by seeing the final results in the client’s joy.
