Discover the interview with Jin Jin :
How did you become designer ?
I loved art since I was young. I chose to pursue an advertising and graphic design diploma in college for a simple reason: I loved drawing and I didn’t like writing essays. Making art everyday? What an amazing course I thought to myself then! But after diving deeper, I found my passion. I realised that I really enjoy the creative progress, no matter tough or fun. From there, my designer journey began.
How would you define your vision of design, your style ?
I don’t have a specific design style. To me, design has no limitations and I strive to keep exploring and discovering my new-self by experimenting with different design styles. It makes me step out of my comfort zone, at the same time finding new strengths and weaknesses. This has opened up a lot of opportunities for me to connect with different type of clients.
For the future, what are your professional projects ?
I am still a fresh graduate and I am about to officially face the “real design world” in a few months. For now, I am planning to try different projects with freelance jobs then join a design studio/company later on. I believe that no matter what path I take, it will all bring different and beautiful experiences to my design life.
What do you like the most in your job ?
Design is about problem solving. I love the way I can express my thoughts and creativity through just a visual. A visual that has a magical charm to solve problems. I hope by bringing my ideas to reality, it will make the world just that little bit better!
