Discover the interview of Jessica Sandoval Ocampo – Mamba Studio:
How did you become designer?
Since I was little, I used to create logos for my club of friends, we had decoration contests using paper, I created my own notebooks and replaced the covers of the cassettes with my own.
Studying communication was the natural step; so, after working for a while, I founded Mamba to specialize in branding and packaging. I’m very lucky to work on what I like the most, creating.
How would you define your vision of design, your style?
I don’t have one particular style. I believe in finding a purpose and turning it into a story that your audience is curious to listen to. It’s both the project and client, along with your research and the product, that determine the style. In the end, design embodies values and illustrates stories. I have a particularly strong passion for color, folklore, and nature motifs.
For the future, what are your professional projects?
To continue developing an infinite curiosity and passion for design.
What do you like the most in your job?
One of the most emotional and satisfying moments is when a client tells us: “this is exactly what I imagined”. I love to be able to make complex ideas and dreams simple through visual design.
