Ian Wallace

Discover the interview of Ian Wallace in Concòn, Chile.

How did you become a designer?

I became a designer the day I was able to transform the designs I made into user experiences. For me being a designer doesn’t mean doing beautiful things, tastes are completely subjective. The design to which we must aim and aspire is to create experiences, know how to connect with the emotions of the client and make the design a unique and magical moment.

How would you define your vision of design, your style ?

I don’t have a style that defines me creatively. I really like to be able to create minimalist designs that speak for themselves and have a high emotional impact. The client is not always the same, we can find all kinds of clients, but what I always achieve in my designs is to create that union, that experience and magical moment where the user feels identified with his packaging.

For the future, what are your professional projects ?

As Woody Allen said, “The future is uncertain.”
I don’t believe in the future, I just want to design the present and transform the vision with which we see design today.

What do you like the most in your job ?

What I love most about my work is being able to create unique experiences that the client and users never forget and that remain in people’s minds. Design doesn’t just make the world beautiful.
