How did you become designer ?
Since I can remember myself, I was drawing all the time. I first got in touch with graphic design at the age of 7 in my mother’s studio, who is a graphic designer too. I used to go there and play with different kinds of paper, color pencils, rapidographs etc. Since then, I and graphic design have been having a love relationship.
How would you define your vision of design, your style?
Simple, clean and “to the point”. Design is not a luxury. It is the first thing that makes someone come in touch with a product or service. It is the thing that describes the style, the quality, the vision, the character of a company. Design is the power, that puts in action the “A.I.D.A.” (Attraction, Interest, Desire, Action). Design serves the need for a product to get the market share it deserves. In general, my view is: I’m not interested in designing what I want, but what communicates in the target group of people that it has to communicate.
For the future, what are your professional projects ?
This period I am in the process of re-organising my studio, DESIGNCLUB. Regarding my projects, I am doing the rebranding of a publishing house and the branding of an Insulation Company. Moreover, I am taking part in a collaborative design scheme between Greece and Dubai.
