How did you become designer ?
I’ve always loved being creative. I’m originally from Poland where the school system is different so at the age of 14 I’ve chosen to go to an art college – pretty much making creative career my only possible life path. I never regretted it. Later I moved to London where I did a graphic design
degree in Central Saint Martins. It was an incredible experience as this uni is completely focused on great creative ideas. I was very lucky as my first ever – one week long internship turned into a full time job and I’ve been working as a designer ever since.
How would you define your vision of design, your style ?
Big thinking and idea first – no matter how pretty something is, if it doesn’t have a strong idea at its core, it is useless. Once you have that foundation it’s all about achieving as much as possible by making the design as simple as it possibly can be. I believe that every project is different and the design is not about what the designer likes but about making it suit the brand or a product, reflecting its personality and appealing to its target market.
For the future, what are your professional projects ?
I’m working on a really wide range of projects at the moment. My favourite ones are the ones that address our big environmental impact. Anything to do with making the world a better place gets me very excited! My biggest personal project is to grow my agency making it fully focused on helping entrepreneurs and small business reach their full potential.
What do you like the most in your job ?
I love the variety this job gives me and the way it challenges me with every new project. Nothing gives me more joy than seeing my clients succeed with the brands or packaging I’ve created for them.
