How did you become designer ?
I am an Industrial Designer from Mexico, and have always liked creating things from scratch since I was younger. I have always been a more visual person, and have always liked expressing myself through color or bolder pieces. In 2019, I went a semester abroad to Barcelona, where I took a graphic design class and fell in love with it ever since.

How would you define your vision of design, your style ?
I think my design style is a reflection of who I am and what I like to wear. I like really bold colors/shapes and always like to make a statement, and my style of design reflects that. But I also have this other part of me (my industrial designer side) that loves to make a statement with as little as possible. Like Mies van der Rohe said: “less is more”.

For the future, what are your professional projects ?
Right now I have a couple of branding proyects in the making! One that is really exciting for me is a packaging design proposal for a brand of wellness drinks from Switzerland infused with CBD. But for personal projects, I am actually designing my own design studio’s branding that me and other design friends are developing!

What do you like the most in your job ?
I love to give form to other people’s dreams! These ideas that they have, being either a product, a service, a company etc, is someone’s baby, and my job is to make it come to life. And more and more people are starting to notice that good design does make a huge difference, and are interested in actually making this investment for their brand. Once a proyect is done, I think that’s the best feeling ever: for me as a designer is knowing that your designs are out there, and that people appreciate them and enjoy them; but as the client receiving the design, I think it’s a super special feeling of knowing for certain that your product is ready to face the world!
