Celia Grandhomme

Discover the interview of Celia Grandhomme:

How did you become designer?

Becoming a graphic designer was my dream job since I was a kid. I loved to draw and knew that I wanted to have an artistic career to help people by designing creative solutions. I studied for five years in Lyon (France) and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design. Then I improved my art direction skills as I graduated with a Master’s degree in multidisciplinary design.

How would you define your vision of design, your style?

In my opinion, graphic design is the visual translation of an intention. When working on branding, I always define a strategy and deep positioning with my clients, so the final result embodies their vision, be timeless and unique. I would define my style as minimalist, colorful, bold and joyful. Nature fascinates me and is one of my main inspirations for illustrations.

For the future, what are your professional projects?

Actually working as a freelance brand designer since 2016, I would love to follow this exciting path for the freedom and creativity that this lifestyle inspires me. This independent design studio is my life project, I am really grateful to live of my passion and for meeting inspiring people every day. For the future, I wish to continue to discover and work with launching businesses that aim to impact the world in a positive way, as I am dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs in ecology, social justice, creativity, and personal development.

What do you like the most in your job?

As an ambitious, independent and strong-willed woman, the part I enjoy the most in my work is meeting with my clients, feeling that I can participate in supporting people to realize their life projects, and the lot of freedom I have about strategy, creativity, management, and flexible lifestyle. My life and work are tightly linked, and thanks to my inner compass I try to follow what inspires me the most and take decisions according to my core values and vision.
