Carles Sala

Discover the interview of Pablo Pineda from Carles Sala from Bulldog Studio in Barcelona, Spain.

How did you become designer ?

I became a designer a bit by chance, I studied architecture but I was not very good (very bad in mathematics) but I always liked art.
A good friend is an industrial designer and he took me to his school, I signed up and to this day. Coincidences of life!

How would you define your vision of design, your style ?

My vision of design? I always explain that in Bulldog Studio we are not artists, we are rather marketing lovers.
You have to listen to the client, the market and the target, put everything in a cocktail bar and, with a little love, something will come out that will be what the client needs.
I don’t understand those designers-dictators who want to apply their style to everything and everyone.

For the future, what are your professional projects ?

Grow in the field of packaging, but not only drinks, where we already have a great experience, but also in other sectors, pharma, industry …
I would also like to have personal time to design very specific things, the day-to-day management of the office does not allow me to.

What do you like the most in your job ?

Check in! Hahaha.
Not really, I like making money a lot, and more doing something that I love, that’s why I value it even more.
I could not be making money and working on something that does not motivate me, day to day with coworkers, growing a business, contact with customers, travel, fairs, I love my job.
