Borja Viguiristi from Bov Design

Discover the interview of Borja Viguiristi from Bov Design:

How did you become designer?

I became a designer out of a need to express myself visually and to help brands communicate who they truly are. From the beginning, I was drawn to the idea of using design as a tool to tell stories and shape purposeful identities. Over time, I founded BOV Design in 2020 as a space to develop projects with both a strategic and emotional perspective.

How would you define your vision of design, your style?

I see design as an intrinsic part of everyday life. We are constantly surrounded by it—at work, during leisure, at school… everything around us is part of a system where design serves as a fundamental foundation that shapes and supports our daily experience. The way we interact with that environment is where design truly finds its meaning, and this is where the role of the designer becomes essential.

I view design as a powerful tool to enhance and enrich our day-to-day lives. My approach combines simplicity, visual sensitivity, and coherence, with a strong attention to detail at every stage of the creative process.

For the future, what are your professional projects?

In the future, I want to keep growing through projects that challenge me both strategically and creatively. I’m interested in collaborating with brands that value honest and impactful communication, developing identities that can evolve over time. I’m also deeply drawn to exploring areas like packaging and spatial design.

What do you like the most in your job?

What I love most about my work is bringing ideas to life and seeing them take shape in the real world. I especially enjoy the moment when a client truly connects with the brand we’ve created together. I’m passionate about the entire creative process—from research to final execution—and the challenge of finding visual solutions that are both meaningful and functional. I’m also driven by stepping out of my comfort zone, exploring new approaches, and learning something new with every project.
