How did you become designer ?
It’s been a complicated journey from studying law, then product design and interior design, to working for an architect for a while and then finally landing in a branding agency as an intern and falling completely and irreversibly in love with it. I think I’ve had an amazing privilege to learn design on actual real projects and solving real problems as opposed to theoretical projects with ideal scenarios.
How would you define your vision of design, your style ?
I believe design is a matter of communicating ideas and solving problems so I mostly think personal style has no room in it. Especially in the field of packaging design, my opinion is that what makes a great designer is being able to adopt any style and decide what is better for the project and not for yourself. My personal approach is to get to the root of the client’s needs and wishes and create the best solution I can with as little compromises as possible.
For the future, what are your professional projects ?
I’ve been a freelance designer for almost 2 years now and I’m realising more and more that this is the best way for me to grow and learn so I am happy to continue in this path for a while. I’m excited to work with inspiring people in the future and to create successful brands.
What do you like the most in your job ?
I love being challenged and learning new things so I am always interested in doing things I’ve never approached before. I like bringing ideas to life and I find it extremely satisfying to see my work in shops and seeing people buy and use the products I have branded.
