Discover the interview of Ana Duje:
How did you become designer?
I studied Advertising in Argentina and started working in advertising agencies as a graphic designer. I fell in love with illustration by working more and more on projects that required that kind of work, and ended up becoming a full time freelancer doing illustration!
How would you define your vision of design, your style?
My work celebrates the human body in all its forms, and tries to convey a message of positivity and diversity of shapes and colours, always combining a less-is-more approach with geometric shapes and my love of vibrant color palettes.
For the future, what are your professional projects?
I can’t say too much about anything in particular, but there are really exciting things coming up! I might be working on a mural for the first time, also a couple of packaging designs (like the one featured on this book!), and I’m launching a Patreon page and a figurine/sculpture which is quite fun! I’m also continuing to host “Illustration Chats” on Instagram, and will also be having a few workshops in the upcoming months.
What do you like the most in your job?
I like the freedom of being my own boss, the challenge of always having to come up with something creative and pushing myself to create something I’ve never done before. I love making things and I appreciate the positive and constructive feedback I get from my followers and peers 🙂
