Discover the interview with Alan Wong :
How did you become a designer?
When I was young, I found out that I like to draw as much as I like watching my brother to draw.
That was my misunderstanding. I thought I should study graphic design as I like drawing.
That was a stupid beginning of my design journey haha.
How would you define your design vision, your style?
I believe that a good design should always have reasons behind, but not only about beauty or trend.
When I design, I keep asking myself questions. What is right? What is suitable? What do we need?
Then I take out all those elements that is not necessary. So I would say my design is simple, minimal and meaningful.
For the future, what are your professional projects?
Hopefully, i would get more branding and packaging projects in the future. That is what i want to focus on.
What do you like the most in your job ?
The happiest part of my job is i can create many things before I die.
They all are the evidences which proves that I used to live in the world.
And I hope that I can leave something good for the people.
