Discover the interview of Agate Avetisyan in Yerevan, Armenia.
How did you become designer ?
I can’t remember the exact point that I decided to become one, I just always loved to make everything look better around me and when it came to choosing the profession, I decided to pick what I really enjoy to do.
I started my designing journey in Tumo Center for Creative Technologies, Yerevan. I started exploring the tools and the principles of graphic design, and when I finished high school, I already knew what I’m going to do in my career path.
From my sophomore year at the university, I started working as a junior designer in a branding company, and the real journey started.
How would you define your vision of design, your style ?
For me design is not the profession, it’s a way of thinking, that’s why I’m trying to invest that in any sphere of my life. I will describe my style more functionality directed.
For the future, what are your professional projects ?
As I just moved to another country (Poland) for more creative development projects, my next projects are more connected with changes and experiments.
What do you like the most in your job ?
The ability to grow. Always. There are always things to learn and skills to develop. It’s like challenging yourself every day. The better you design, the happier you become.
