MANIFESTO
A wine that sets a statement
Manifesto is a wine born from a clear and deliberate choice. Tenuta Cocci Grifoni decided to introduce a wine made from Johanniter, a resistant PIWI grape variety capable of adapting to climate and territory while significantly reducing the environmental impact of viticulture.
This decision required more than a name or a label — it required a position. The project was created to translate an agricultural and technical choice into a coherent identity system. The concept is rooted in the idea of a manifesto: a concrete statement of intent that expresses a new possibility for the future of winemaking.
The packaging is built around the Oroshi bottle by Estal, part of the Wildly Crafted Wines collection and exclusively distributed in Italy by Gruppo Saida. Made from 100% post-consumer recycled glass, its organic texture makes every bottle unique. No capsule, no label: communication is entrusted entirely to direct screen printing on the glass, produced by Decolab.
As current regulations do not yet allow the grape variety to be declared on the label, the name Johanniter appears and is symbolically crossed out, turning a regulatory constraint into a narrative element that reinforces the project’s independent spirit.
The system is completed by an FSC®-certified recycled paper neck tag and a Nomacorc Ocean closure made from recycled ocean-bound plastic. The result is a packaging system that aligns concept, production, and sustainability through reduction rather than addition.
