Before 1992, Uzbekistan had no automotive industry, being part of the Soviet Union. In post-Soviet times, UzDaewooAuto, SamKochAvto, GM Uzbekistan new auto producing plants were built with South Korean and American help. With production surpassing more than 200,000 per year, Uzbekistan exports automobiles to Russia and other CIS countries.

GM Uzbekistan, a joint venture, with manufacturing operations in Asaka features three vehicle assembly lines and one stamping operations plant with a growing local supply base supplemented by commodities and automotive parts largely from Asia Pacific region (e.g., steel coil from Russia, advanced technology parts from South Korea, etc.). With multi-shift operations, employment is estimated around 7000 people in a region otherwise known for agricultural production.

Uzbekistan produced its 5 millionth automobile this year. To celebrate such a major achievement, Automotive Industry Tashkent – the first organizer of auto parts and accessories exhibitions decided to organize AutoSalon Tashkent 2025, the largest auto exhibition for the region. An elegant style without graphic elements was chosen to emphasize the design of the cars. But in the gift products we wanted to remind visitors and motorists that safety comes first and used seat belts as the main element. In addition, the combination of two colors and a brutal font gives the exhibition a sense of reliability and confidence.

A seat belt or seatbelt, also known as a safety belt, is a vehicle safety device designed to secure the driver or a passenger of a vehicle against harmful movement that may result during a collision or a sudden stop. A seat belt reduces the likelihood of death or serious injury in a traffic collision by reducing the force of secondary impacts with interior strike hazards, by keeping occupants positioned correctly for maximum effectiveness of the airbag (if equipped), and by preventing occupants being ejected from the vehicle in a crash or if the vehicle rolls over.
