Katie’s Kombucha is a healthy probiotic drink, which is good for the gut and immune system. It is a delicious, refreshing vegan soft drink range, made with love by Ballymaloe-trained chef, Katie McCann.

When it comes to health, the gut is a key area to begin with, known as the body’s ‘second brain’ – it is trusted to support the body to fuel our happiness, health and wellness. The drink is alive and contains a community of healthy bacteria living inside which is beneficial to our bodies. When you feel alive, you can create what you love and love what you create.

The packaging for the Katie’s Kombucha cans ranges from the glass bottles labels and also sleek, slim cans, communicating the brand’s core values and enhancing its market presence. Central to the design is the silhouette of Katie, the founder, which serves as a powerful visual representation of the brand’s personal touch and dedication. This silhouette is intricately intertwined with fruit elements that reflect the drink’s natural ingredients, such as raspberries and apples, offering a visual connection to the product’s wholesome qualities.

The typography is earthy and rustic, aligning with the brand’s natural ethos. The stacked block format for the word “Kombucha” (KOM-BU-CHA) improves readability, particularly for those unfamiliar with the term. This is complemented by a hand-tailored font that conveys a handmade, artisanal quality, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to authentic, small-batch production.

Colour differentiation is utilized for each flavour: Raspberry, Apple & Dandelion and Ginger & Hibiscus. Each flavour is represented by a distinct colour and fruit icon, which enhances shelf visibility and consumer recognition. A handwritten font for flavour descriptions adds a personal, crafted touch, highlighting the care and attention that goes into each batch of kombucha.

The design also features a unique barcode adorned with a silhouette of leaves and berries, adding an extra layer of visual interest, and reinforcing the brand’s focus on natural ingredients. A hand-drawn heart icon signifies the product’s 100% vegan status, aligning with the brand’s ethical and sustainable values.

In terms of sustainability, the packaging utilizes recyclable materials, which supports a low carbon footprint and aligns with Katie’s commitment to environmental responsibility. This thoughtful approach not only enhances the brand’s market appeal but also resonates with environmentally conscious consumers.
