Tomato Mix; a limited edition concept from Gino’s kitchen to ignite culinary passion in lazy chefs or wannabe cooks like me that finds cooking boring, intimidating or overwhelming.
CONCEPT
concise design at the front, the Gino wordmark logo boldly standing out on a white background and the white background extending to the product back and neatly tied. Like your regular cooking apron, and pants underneath the cooking apron.
SOLUTION
Designed the cans, first. The Original Gino tomato mix has 6 variants, of canned tomato mixes, each with different flavors.
I chose only the mostly used 4 tomato mixes; Tomato Mix(no preservatives), TM(no sugar), TM(lemon juice added) and TM(beetroot juice added).
I made hand-drawn illustrations of pants and matching pockets for each of these 4 toamto mixes, and each illustrated pants makes reference to it’s flavor.
The lemon juice tomato mix can has a more dark brownish pant with bright yellow spots and matching pockets, The beetroot tomato mix can features a medium dark shade of blue like a denim, but with lines running across both sides like crosshatch and a patch pocket.

For the Seasoning Mix, each distinct seasoning mix communicates clearly. Home cooked meal placed at the front. The shape of the product overall was one thing I considered, modifications on the product design to get those hips right on the back.
The Concept looks homely and natural like tomatoes, except for the hips on the seasoning mix. “bbl”
