Cốm is made from young glutinous rice, harvested when the grains are still tender and green. After harvesting, the rice is carefully processed to remove impurities and ensure the quality of each grain. It is then wrapped in two layers of leaves: an inner layer of fresh yam leaves to prevent Cốm from drying out, and an outer layer of lotus leaves that infuse a delicate fragrance. The combination of these leaves imparts a distinct aroma to the dish, evoking a sense of nostalgia and tradition.

Inspired by Com with a stylized image of rice flowers – “Golden Rice” restaurant proudly serves typical Vietnamese dishes. The menu combines traditional flavors with creative twists, creating a rich culinary experience. Here, you can indulge in exquisite cốm dishes, savoring the rich flavor of glutinous rice blended with the fragradance of lotus leaves. And some dishes with Cốm such as green rice cake and sweet soup,…etc…

Objective
Com Vang intended to embody the essence: “traditional, fresh, friendly”. We were tasked with creating branding that would reflect those values and help take their business to the next level. Reflecting Com Vang’s USP in their logo design and other collateral was done with deep research and a contextual understanding of other prominent businesses.

Solution
Inspired by the image of young rice plants – the origin of “cốm”, the emblem in the “Cốm Vàng” logo is delicately and uniquely stylized, encompassing the brand name placed right in the center. The main highlights are the two colors, dark green and white, representing sophistication and refinement within the restaurant’s ambiance, while also reflecting the elegance and credibility of the brand.
