The Palácio Conde D’Óbidos in Lisbon is a historic palace with roots dating back to the 17th century. Originally built for the powerful Albuquerque family, it was later inherited by the Count of Óbidos, giving the palace its current name. The structure is located in the Santos neighborhood, overlooking the Tagus River. Throughout its history, the palace has seen numerous transformations, including architectural updates and expansions. Today, it serves as the headquarters of the Portuguese Red Cross, adding a humanitarian role to its legacy. The palace is known for its Baroque architecture, intricate tilework, and frescoes, reflecting Portugal’s rich artistic heritage.

Through a harmonious blend of the past and present, Palácio Conde D’óbidos continues to enchant and inspire visitors, ensuring that this place remains a symbol for generations to come.

With a clear concept in mind, the next step involves sketching the basic framework of the main element of this palace.Handrawn, every line is carefully considered. The goal is to represent the palace iconic feature while infusing contemporary design elements. To make the logo modern, it’s essential to simplify the design. Traditional elements meet minimalist principles. The challenge is to strike a balance between preserving history and embracing the present. Unnecessary details are omitted, and clean, bold lines are introduced. We’ll also embark on a journey of experiential branding, creating events, exhibitions, and cultural programs that tell the story of this palace. Embracing the heritage and celebrating the future, this become more than just a monument – we’ll be a living, breathing institution.
The first and foremost element for this rebranding is the preservation of the palace’s historical significance.
