An extra virgin olive oil from Irpinia, with a prevalence of the native Ravece cultivar. But what makes this oil special is the family history. At the Merola house, oil has been made since at least 1803, because this is the date engraved on a stone tub used to store the oil. The young Vincenzo wanted to give prestige to this family tradition, choosing to bottle the oil in a precious guise, instead of the traditional large-format cans. Here is a bottle with an original shape that almost evokes balsamic vinegar. Black and gold to communicate value at first sight. The family monogram stands out on the collar and is still present today in the Merola palace in the historic center of Bonito. The lower part of the label is made with a black-textured UPM Raflatac Cotton Black paper on which the portrait of the great-great-grandfather Nicola Merola, who in the 19th century began to market the oil produced by the family’s olive groves, is superimposed printed on UPM Raflatac Genesi paper.
The label is printed with 3 different golds: – in offset for texts and nutritional values – laminates the decorative parts of the olive leaves and the carriage, which depicts the object still present in the palace today -cast for the progressive numbering of the bottle and the writing Monte Augusto, the place where the olive groves are located
The label wraps around the bottle, and is die-cut to form a drop of glass in the closure.
The cap is closed with a wax stamp bearing the monogram of the Merola family.
