The Nifo family lives in Ponte, in the Sannio area. They are peasants, farmers, winemakers.I’m organic. They are winemakers for passion and cultural heritage: they have decided to combine respect for tradition and love for nature with winemaking innovation. They produce the representative wines of their territory: Falanghina, Aglianico, Greco, Fiano, Camaiola. They are all wines intimately linked to the millenary history of this land, which is why they wanted to represent archaeological finds found in the Sannio on their labels.
Where their vineyards have their roots.
Thus each bottle tells a story made up of millennia, of heroes and leaders, of warriors and gladiators, of temples and gods.
They want to be the singers of their land. And they do it through wine.
The same land that nourishes their vineyards reveals fascinating archaeological finds that tell stories of over 2000 years, from Magna Graecia to the Italic peoples, Romans and Lombards. At home it was said that when the grandparents plowed the land, archaeological finds often emerged. This is normal: we are on the historic Via Francigena and Via Latina, the road that led south from the capital. Here the land thrives on history and myths, and occasionally brings the past back to the surface.
On the wine labels we see images of artifacts found in the Sannio area. And on the labels you can touch the earth of their vineyards: the printing ink is in fact mixed with the sand extracted from the ground. Thus, taking the bottle in your hand and pouring it, you will experience the tactile sensation of the soil from which the wine you are about to taste is born.
