Menina Izilda’s wines are traditionally crafted with Portuguese grapes grown, many of them, for eight decades on a west-facing vine at an altitude of 500m. This vines have been in the family since the 19th century.
The name “Meninza Izilda” is a homage to the producer’s grandmother – always “a girl” (menina) since 1912, until almost 100 years old, in a life dedicated to agriculture and her family.
