The brand is named from the love a pet owner has for their pet and vice versa. So we wanted to deliver packaging that expressed this but stayed clear from cliché photography of people and their pet.
With products that range from adult, puppy and treats we wanted to be able to identify these and then the flavour within the sku. The brand also has cat food in their listings which will follow so it was key that identifying the product on shelf was easy and you could clearly see what product was for which animal as some stockists display cat and dog foods in the same areas.
We developed silhouettes to define the products use to end user, using a retriever as our core animal (being one of the most popular breeds of dog).
Then inisde these silhouettes were bright, positive feeling illustrations of humans interacting with their pets; enjoying their time together and the company they bring to each other, from out for a run, exploring your local trails to chilling on a park bench (ensuring we had both rural and urban locations), each scenario utlises core colours from the flavour sku. Large bold colours and type allows the consumer to clearly see who the product is for and the flavour.
