Sed Estudio

The Earth is alive, that is how the Asháninkas, wise inhabitants of the Peruvian jungle, feel. Cacao grows there. It is a place where nature is still sacred. The rain is of course alive also, and they call it “Inkani”.

We fondly remember the process of creating this brand. Together with the Ecoandino team, we look for the best way to present a tribute to the Asháninka culture. We search for the best way. We were amazed by the way they decorate their faces, with that pigment so alive, so perfectly imperfect. That is why we wanted to work with an ink made from annatto and re-interpret in our own way, with simple shapes, the nature of the Peruvian jungle.

We designed packages where the raw, the imperfect, meets with elegance: the selection and elaboration of chocolate. That is why we decided to use handmade traces with an ink full of texture, and contrast it with the use of golden foil.
