How did you become a designer?
I think it was a natural way for me. I always liked to draw, and since I was a child I drew many planes, another passion that I inherited from my Father.
I grew up in the boom of personal computing and it was not long before I had my first computer on hand and then I transferred my interest in drawing to the virtual world. I started using software like Macromedia Freehand and Macromedia Flash, which happened at an interesting time, because I started studying programming in the college where I was studying Computer Science and when I saw that I could draw and use this new way to create interactive animations I decided that this is the path that I would follow.
When I felt that I had reached the limit with the software I used, I started studying 3D and a new window opened up.  To this I was in Publicity and Advertising at another college, and I studied golden ratio , Bauhaus, Gestalt, and I identified a lot with branding and packaging design.
And just like that I felt in love with Design.

How would you define your design vision, your style?

Strategic design, graphic design, product design, interaction design, design thinking, design management, etc. It is impossible to speak of any of these strands without creating controversy, because there is a lot of divergence of opinions, but I see the different areas and approaches of the design without any prejudice and I believe very much in the power of the semantics.
It is difficult to dissociate the design from the temporal context, and looking at our current lifestyle, the materialistic culture, it is easy to conclude that we are going through a gloomy moment, with so many advances in several areas, the disposability seems to grow proportionally, and the design is not Oblivious to this.
I believe in a chimerical future where durable design is in the DNA of the entire production chain, where products are created with the same basic branding principles, designed to be physically capable of supporting time. We are far from it, but it would be interesting to see at least the spark that will start this fire.
I usually say that my style is mathematical. Balance and symmetry can be identified in almost all my projects.
What are your professional projects for the future?
I want to specialize in CGI, this is my short-term goal, and looking in the future, i still want to study industrial design and work with product design. Besides this I am venturing into the world of startups and have a distant project, which is to create healthy products that are as attractive to our children as a glass of soda, but this is another story.

What do you like most about your job?

I like the feeling of freedom at every start of the project, that excitement and euphoria in seeing a blank file and all the possibilities to explore and different paths to follow.
In our profession time is not an ally, today I can manage this well, but in general the execution of the project is always pursued by the deadline monster. My second preferred moment is the feeling that, even with all the factors (deadline, customer interference), I have finalized something that I´m sure was well executed.
