Discover the interview of Predrag Markovic, located in Belgrade, Serbia.

How did you become designer ?

As a teenager I was playing guitar in a hardcore-punk band, and we needed official logo
for our flags, badges and so on. I drew some samples and have decided to make it digital
using Adobe Photoshop 6.0. That was my first contact with the graphic design, I really loved it and love continues still.
Many years after, I obtained degree in Art History, after which I have continued my studies and received MA in Graphic Design.

How would you define your vision of design, your style ?

I enjoy working in various genres. The awesome moments are those in which, through photo-manipulation, I temper
with cyberpunk or steampunk themes. But from time to time, my vision goes to some minimalistic graphics as well.
I am mostly working on book covers. I’ve found this field very interesting and intriguing because each book cover may be considered an artwork
with the message or name. Its calling the title 🙂 and I love to play with the contrast between the title and the artwork.

For the future, what are your professional projects ?

I am currently working on developing the personal brand.
Trying to find the perfect artist team with the clean, strong and unique visual sense.
For now as a placeholder I am using the name 6th sense graphics, but the new, fresh, short and catchy name
is on the way, as well as updated web site. So, stay tuned.

What do you like the most in your job ?

Freedom! Yeah thats what I like the most. Even if a client’s brief is utterly specific,
one always have freedom to do it in his/her own way. Seeing the world in creative way helps me being free,
and freedom is what makes life comfortable and light. (yeah, the last sentence describes it the best).
