Discover the interview of Maurin ARMAND, located in Marseille, France.

How did you become designer ?

It’s by passion I became Designer. Since young I’m interested by the design and the typography, I always observed with interest the Design which surround us. Very early I discovered the Graffiti and during almost 10 years I practiced with accuracy the letter drawing work, what then took me to interest me in the graphic design and to deepen my knowledge in typography. It is then, into my adolescence that i integrated a school of Graphic Design and Art professions on Marseille, and this is the way I became a Graphic Designer.

How would you define your vision of design, your style ?

My vision of the Design is a mixture between aestheticism and sense. I like when we can feel the work of reflection which there is behind a picture, while leaving a part of intuition and spontaneity with the phase of creation. I would define my style as a balance between Traditional and Modern, always in connection with the typography and the work of the letter.

For the future, what are your professional projects ?

For the future I have several projects of designs with labels for spirits. I like very much the creation and the research work bound just like mark of alcoholic drinks. I see there for me a way to express me completely and to dare new things.

What do you like the most in your job ?

What I prefer most in my work it is the freedom which he gets. It is a real luxury today to choose with who and on that we wish to work. Thanks to my freelance’s situation I can get organized as I think best to create a situation convenient to the creation, and ceaselessly to develop my style.
