How did you become designer?

When I was in high school and it came time to choose what kind of career I wanted, I knew it was going to be in the artistic field. I was still young and not too sure what graphic design actually was but when it came time to apply to a college and choose a program, I read the description of graphic design and suddenly none of the other programs sounded interesting anymore. Although I didn’t know that much about the field, I decided to apply because I had this feeling that I was making the right decision. Years later, I now have a College Studies Diploma and Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design and have been working at a design studio in Montreal for the past 2 years.

How would you define your vision of design, your style?

I actually don’t consider myself to have a particular style. I find every project is unique and has a different story, which is why it’s important to be able to adapt the design every single time.

For the future, what are your professional projects?

My career in graphic design is basically just beginning. I hope to gain a lot of experience and new skills as I go and possibly start up my own little graphic design studio sometime down the road. On another note, I’ll always continue to work on personal projects for my own pleasure. I’ve been working on a project for a long period of time now and hope to reveal it soon.

What do you like the most in your job?

I love the feeling at the beginning of a project when you know that there’s countless possibilities and it’s in your hands to choose which path you’re going to take. I also love when you look back on what you’ve accomplished at the very end of a project and you know the client is satisfied. That’s just a great feeling.
