Markela Bgiala

Discover the interview of Markela Bgiala in Berlin, Germany.

How did you become designer ?

I studied interior architecture but after my first internship in Berlin at an Interior design studio I realized that I am not so passionate about it and started experimenting with logo design and illustration. Then became part of an art collective and started illustrating more and more. I remember some people asked me to design their record cover or posters for events and slowly slowly everything seemd to come together.

How would you define your vision of design, your style ?

I design identity systems and graphics that are passionate, urbanistic and culturally aware. I believe in the power of typography and the ideas that emerged when I put pencil on paper. I love nature and natural elements. My style is clean but not pure minimalist, combining handcrafted elements with digital clarity.

For the future, what are your professional projects ?

Im about to explore new grounds creating brand concepts for the movie and fashion industry.

What do you like the most in your job ?

To see my ideas in reality and my clients smiling.
